Education is vital for all, Govt. spending and International funding is increasing
each year though literacy rates have only marginally improved and there is no reduction in the drop-out percentage. The problem lies not only in
the system but also on the mental and biological under-preparedness of villagers and migrating children as they
join the school. VVF is working towards bridging these gaps.

Life- Skill imparting program:
at Rajendar Ashram
|
Rajendar Ashram houses about 150 boys coming from troubled childhood back- grounds.
Some are tribal, some orphans and some children of terminally ill or jailed parents.
At the Rajendar Ashram, they receive education up to class X after which they are sent
back to their homes.
VVF is conducting a complete Life-skill training module for these
boys to meet their needs of psychosomatic care, vocational skill training and self employment.
Various workshops on Computer Hardware training, Accounting and Book-keeping, Art and Theatre
etc are being conducted apart from regular psychiatric intervention on other issues.

 JJEBA aims to create awareness and propagate a culture of
Water Conservation, Harvesting & Harnessing in the community.
It has also been planned to revive the defunct water bodies,
raise the declining water table and improve the ground water quality.
Mass contact is being made through various programs and mediums such
as Jal Rallies, Door to Door Campaigns, disseminating Information at School
level, Publication of booklets, handouts, stickers etc., Poster Campaigns,
holding Motivational Workshops and celebrating Jal Diwas.
